The “Fried Calamari” is misnamed

Took my wife for a romantic dinner tonight. The “fried calamari” is misnamed. It is wonderful, probably the best I’ve ever had, but it seems prepared far beyond anything “fried” describes. We shared a Santa Barbara calzone and it was equally incredible. Again, the best I’v had in decades. Two drink, an appetizer, dinner, and the bill was $33 plus tip. The service was personal, friendly, quick, and unobtrusive. We’ll be back, with friends.~ Thomas Day | 2017 Feb | via Facebook

Incredible meal!

We decided to try Bellaluca for our anniversary. Incredible meal! The lobster carbonara was incredible as was the chiopino. Awesome food and service. Great wine selection. We will be back many times.  Thanks!~ Forrest W, Boise ID | 2015 Jan | via Yelp

Italian Quality Comparable to Italy

Having traveled to Italy three times and loved the food we were not expecting a similar experience in Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico. The dinner was superb by any measurement with the Braised Beef Risotto the star of the evening. I can’t wait for our next visit! ~ Mike | 2015 Jan | via TripAdvisor

A True “Family” Restaurant

We had a wonderful dinner at Bella Luca and a lovely conversation with Jessica, who owns the restaurant. Two of her three children were on hand as well, eating dinner (a fabulous looking pizza) and doing homework. They were charming, lively and well behaved. How many parents are confident enough to bring their kids to work regularly!? Their company lent itself to a warm and attractive dining room. Coffee is fantastic, too.~ Katie S. | 2015 Jan | via TripAdvisor

Excellent

Had the grown up mac and cheese for my birthday dinner and it was excellent! My fiancé, who is really picky about his alfredo, loved theirs.~ Natsu C, Austin TX | 2015 Jan | via Yelp

Who Knew?

Who knew that there was such fabulous Italian food in the New Mexico desert. If you ever have the chance, you need to stop and eat at Cafe BellaLuca. All of the food is fresh and the wood fired pizza is outstanding. Also, their wine list is beyond what one would expect.~ Obliex4, Denver CO | 2015 Jan | via TripAdvisor

The Jewel of the High Desert!

The Jewel of the high desert! Great food! Great Wine and Beer selection!  Great people!~ Pylonyous P | 2015 Jan | via Yelp

Modern & upscale (but not pretentious or expensive)

What a surprise to find this in T or C! It is so modern and upscale (without being pretentious or too expensive)! We stopped in for dessert and a bottle of wine. They have a great wine selection. The creme brulee was really good, and the flourless chocolate cake with berry sauce was rich but not overly filling. The service was so great and friendly. I would love to come back and try their food!~ Amanda, Tucson AZ | 2015 Jan | via Yelp

Wow!! Go Here!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal and exceptional service here. We ordered the calamari, risotto and scallops, pizza (I believe it was the Santa Barbara?) and we had an amazing creme brulee for dessert. All were absolutely incredible. Additionally, my husband loves beer and I love wine and BellaLuca was able to cater to both of our tastes with a large assortment of both, and our server, Jessica was very knowledgeable and helpful and actually paired us each with the right drinks to accompany our meals. The atmosphere was very nice, low lights, soft music, upscale, rustic charm. We live in Taos, but will be making many, many trips back to T or C in the future, if only to visit BellaLuca again.~ Laurie | 2015 Jan | via TripAdvisor
